Do canned foods have preservatives?
Classification:Company news Release time:2024-09-20 10:47:41
Canned foods usually do not contain preservatives. Their long-term preservation mainly relies on high-temperature sterilization and vacuum sealing techniques, which comply with the standards stipulated in the national standard (GB2760-2024).

Storage principles and techniques

Canned foods achieve food preservation through the following physical processes, without the need to add preservatives:

High-temperature sterilization: Completely kill microorganisms to ensure a commercial sterile environment.

Vacuum sealing: Isolate from external air and bacteria to prevent secondary contamination.

Natural preservative components: High sugar or high salt environments (such as sugar-water canned food) can inhibit microbial growth.
